Abayomi Olowu was born on 7th October 1993. He has been passionate about technology since a young child. Even though this is a common phenomenon about his age gap, he pushed it to reality. His dreams made him explore various possibilities till where he is today. Abayomi is a graduate of Crescent University, Abeokuta. It took Abayomi time to dive deep into technology, his story will inspire you.
Abayomi Olowu’s Early Life
As an undergraduate student, Abayomi Olowu interned at JIDE TAIWO & Co, a professional service firm of Estate Surveyors and Valuers. In accordance with Nigerian law, Abayomi served as a graduate assistant at Osun State College of Technology (OSCOTECH). His charisma gained him, love, amidst the students who took him as a mentor. A calm, loving and diligent young man knew there was more to do in life. Going into the labour market after school, couldn’t have been any easier for him. He forged his path and moulded it thoroughly into an asset for any firm who was recruiting at the time not to think twice to have him. This brings me to tell you how it became and what followed.
Abayomi Olowu’s Career Phase
Whoever said “through zeal, knowledge is gotten; through lack of zeal, knowledge is lost” is damn right. Abayomi is an example of a zealous and relentless individual. His attitude and the attention he pays toward learning new things makes him exceptional. Delving into UI/UX design isn’t something surprising for most that knew him due to his tech passion. The amazing part is the finesse and details embedded into his designs, it is always a beautiful sight to behold. His work precedes him, so freelance jobs weren’t hard to get at a tender stage of his career. If you’d care to know, he still does that. After all, taking up challenges is one of the things he’s best known for.

Later On…
His first appointment came in 2018 where he started as an IT support/ Visual designer at Callus Miller Communications. The role gave Abayomi a chance of learning and developing in his field. His zealous and charismatic behaviour got him a second appointment at Impero Techne Limited as their UI/UX designer. This is to buttress the fact that Abayomi is everything but lazy. One word you can never find in his life dictionary. Yeah, life dictionary (lol), he’s obviously a man who lives by rules and principles.
Sometime in April of 2021, Abayomi left his former employer with whom he worked for almost three years. The movement came about taking up new responsibilities and challenges at a new firm, Impero Techne. His stay at the firm lasted for four productive months and had to say his goodbyes to take up a Product Designer role at Cashtoken Africa, amazing right? Now, who said hard work doesn’t pay off? Well, if you’re smart along with it, why not? (smiles).
Accomplishments and Milestones
Making sure he impacts people everywhere he goes is one of the traits Abayomi possesses. He doesn’t like to back down from competition neither does he desist from learning new things. As a team player, his days at Impero Techne and Callus Miller Communication produced some outstanding projects. Amongst these projects is; designing a universal health insurance platform for all Nigerians. A project in which Nigerians can benefit in fighting against universal health coverage. His team made a platform that is designed to reward Lagosians. Sharing is not only what he does, he also likes to give back to the society that has taught him a lot. Having more people like Ayobami Olowu would immensely increase the development of IT in Africa.
He has two certifications, Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM and Graphic Design Masterclass from Udemy.
“Abayomi is a super-hardworking guy. His understanding of user behaviour and product design makes him an incredibly effective designer. His product designs are not only neat but also manufacturable. Overall his design works would make any product a huge success.”

Abayomi Olowu’s Lifestyle and Hobbies
Abayomi hobbies give him time to relax and strategize. He sometimes uses them as a getaway plan from work just to prevent burnout or being overwhelmed by tasks. Even though one of his hobbies is playing video games, it has always been one exciting part-time of his day. He also likes to hang out with friends both online and offline, showing he can be very sociable. Importantly, you can never catch Abayomi supporting any other club aside from Barcelona. Yeah, he is a big fan of the game (soccer).
In respect to the future of technology in Africa, Abayomi said and I quote,
I see Africa as a pool to acquire the best tech talents.
