With a mighty goal of advancing the digital sector and boosting new employment opportunities in Egypt, Atos and Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Mobile World Congress 2021 in Barcelona. Notable parties present during the event were Amr Mahfouz, ITIDA CEO, Ahmad Elharany, Atos General Manager for Egypt and Nourdine Bihmane, Executive Vice-President of Atos and Head of Growing Markets.
Amr Mahfouz, CEO of ITIDA, said: “We are committed to supporting Atos plans to ramp up its operations in Egypt as part of our mandate and the support we can offer to global tech players and inward investors every step of the way and help them better serve their customers across the globe”.

The company seeks to recruit and train new Egyptian employees with a direct focus on export activities over the course of the three-year agreement.
ITIDA was launched in 2004 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) IN Egypt to serve as an executive IT arm to stimulate, orchestrate and spearhead the process of developing the Egyptian IT industry. In a move to motivate the local IT market and adapt to changes in the global industry, ITIDA adopts a progressive approach, adheres to the public-private partnership model, and seeks partnerships with related foundations.
