We’re excited to announce that AI School will be teaming up with Klas to train aspiring AI engineers across Africa. They plan to make this to as well connect them with remote job opportunities. AI School is a non-profit organization and one of the largest AI communities in Nigeria with over 600 members. They are currently investing a lot of resources into expanding their community beyond the borders of Nigeria. They both plan on becoming a more inclusive AI community for all.
Klas is a Nigerian ed-tech startup offering an all-in-one platform for live online courses. They provide everything you need to run a live course: payments, calendaring, live conferencing, file sharing, and student management. Their goal is to help anyone to create, monetize and deliver engaging, live learning experiences at scale.

Recently, the world has experienced a rapid transition to remote learning due to the covid-19 pandemic and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down in the post-pandemic era. In the past decade, MOOCs were popularized by platforms like Udemy, Masterclass, and LinkedIn learning. Unlike MOOCs, live online courses are actually focused on active, hands-on learning, community, accountability, and impact.
With this new partnership, AI School will be able to train thousands of new AI engineers across Africa and connect them to remote job opportunities through Klas. We strongly believe that AI can tackle a lot of the economic problems faced in Africa and they want to train the engineers that will help build the solutions.
