Clement Hugbo didn’t wake up one day to become a techie, he paid the price, hard work! He had his BSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Technology in 2015 at the University of Benin. While in school, he learnt high-income tech skills which earned him dollars. After graduating, he was proficient so, he joined ClemzCorp Technologies as a Still and Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor. By the beginning of 2017, Clement had another feather to his cap, website development. He was in charge of ClemzCorp’s Front-end Web development needs for more than two years. Clement was simultaneously working as an SAP Security, Audit, and GRC Consultant at IRSL. This means he handled three different roles during the same period. Afterwards, Clement worked with Winich farms, Nowerpx Nigeria Limited, Web3Bridge, and Project Hydro between 2019 and 2020. Wetin I fit qualify this guy with, always on track.
He served as a product designer, CTO, Technical Lead, and Independent Contractor respectively. He was able to manage all these roles successfully and ensured he delivered top-notch services. Clement is a proactive and focused individual who ensures that every task gets done without delay. He got his hands on a new project, he became the bundle Alpha of designing at Bundle Africa for 1 year plus. As he would always say “Stay Afraid, keep going” Clement never settles for less, he keeps stepping into new experiences.

Career Summary
In August 2019, Clement founded a digital fintech company “Crevetal” out of his passion for delivering excellent user experience. Currently, Clement works for three international companies, PHNX, Index Coop, and Nestcoin. His major role at the companies is product designing although he always unleashes his videography skills too. He is a good team player as he has co-achieved great heights through collaboration and teamwork. At Index Coop, Clement worked on several projects that attracted the highest social impression. He was the lead producer of the first top videos that recorded the highest impression from investors and contributors. Clement also initiated the process that made the company become one of the most recognized in the blockchain space.

Clement didn’t have it all smooth, tech don serve him to breakfast too. Dealing with international clients has exposed him to design criticism. Storytime, once upon a time, Clement designed a full product for a client. His excitement knew no bounds because of the energy he put into it. After he was done, the client criticized the entire UI, just imagine. He even compared it with a very old design Clement is familiar with and detested. Although, the client later admitted that it was not as bad, LOL. This experience made Clement realize the concept of design subjectivity, experience is the best teacher. You no get experience, you talk say you wise, who be your teacher?

He sees bright ladies coming into the tech space and closing the gap. Make I tell you another LOL story, okay. As a student, Clement ran a cake business, so he got a job from a client. He was to bake a cake for a birthday, my guy set out, got all the ingredients and finished it in no time. Cakes are always looking all happy and smiling, Clement’s cake cried thanks to too many eggs in the icing sugar. It was one of the worst days of his business career as the client was unhappy. You see, nobody had it all figured out from the beginning. You can stay afraid, but never stop going. As a techie with vast experience, Clement opines that dedication to continuous learning is the key to thriving in tech.
