Jessica Critchley and Tolulope Arobieke, co-founders of YourGaff Lettings have been announced as finalists for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. The Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA), in partnership with Starling Bank, recognizes the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses established in the United Kingdom. The awards also strive to offer an impressive and thriving ecosystem of support all year round, providing support and opportunities for winners and finalists to connect and showcase their business.

The founders who are both University of Chester graduates were shortlisted as finalists alongside Kate Morris-Bates, owner of InsideOut Wellness who is also up for the title of Wales’ Health and Wellbeing Entrepreneur of the Year. With the Regional Finals taking place in September, the winners will go to the National Final in November, with one being awarded this year’s Great British Entrepreneur of the Year title. They said: “The award shortlisting has given us the chance to promote Yourgaff on a national level, it has started to open doors of opportunity that at this stage wouldn’t have crossed our path”.
Yourgaff Lettings, a Chester City centre-based startup in the letting industry, was founded in November 2019 due to the desire of the founders to provide things they didn’t get while they were students. The startup aims to provide high-quality accommodation to professionals and students in Cheshire, alongside finding the perfect home-away-from-home for international students and professionals. They seek to bridge the gap between tenants and landlords.
