Damilare Ojo is a devoted Christian that has a strong interest in engineering. He was born on 5th October 1992 and has the opportunity to explore his life in Lagos, Ekiti, Abuja and Warri.
Damilare is a Business Analyst and Mechatronics Engineer with quality industry experience in dynamic areas. These areas include electric Utilities, geographical information systems, smart distribution networks, and Operations Research & technology. His commitment to work gave him an amazing journey and we would be highlighting that. Warri boy no dey ever carry last for any matter wey show face.
Educational Background of Damilare Ojo
Damilare began his engineering journey at the Federal University Oye Ekiti in 2011 as the first set. His time at school, Damilare gave his devotion to the work of God. He was spreading the good news and this energetic young man was the President of All Christian Campus Fellowship. As partial fulfilment of his study, he interned at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation where he grew more in passion. In line with the shining light of the lord, Damilare graduated in 2016 and was posted for compulsory service in Delta state. With a commitment to the motherland, Damilare serves as an impact on students of Aniocha South local government. He was the best graduating student in his department but he prefers to stick with James 4:10 which says “ Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you”.
He began his Masters in Finance Engineering after his NYSC at WorldQuadrant University and graduated with a distinction. By the glory of the lord, Damilare’s choices have built him in both financial and engineering fields making him a rare gem. As a scholar, he was part of a recent graduate of Nexford University with an MBA in Advanced AI & Future of Automation. Proverbs 16:3 says “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed”, truly the word of God must prevail. Damilare recently got a full Erasmus+ scholarship from the Education, Audio-visual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) – European Union. This Scholarship will see him run 4 semesters with the first two(2) semesters in Nile University, Egypt. Damilare will proceed to École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques, France and Universidad de Oviedo, Spain afterwards.

Damilare Ojo Career Journey
Proverb 28:26 says “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But he who walks wisely will be delivered”. Damilare believes in God and his will which saved him and elevate him to date. Safe Water Global Initiative gave him the first call as a graduate technical engineer in late 2017. He took this opportunity to grow and believe in God’s plan. Luke 1:37 states “For nothing will be impossible with God”, Damilare never doubted success. Joining the Eko Electricity Distribution plc as a Geographical Information Specialist, dreams begin to look like reality. Esri remains the giant house for GIS experts and having an accolade from such a body is huge. Damilare proudest moment was recognition for his innovation using GIS as a tool for effective energy audit and strategy for reducing ATC&C losses.
Starting up with developing an autonomous robotic lawn mower using local materials as a final year project, he never gave up. February 2020, he was rewarded with a promotion as Project Lead, GIS & SCADA Implementation. Truly, the hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish -Proverbs 10:28. Damilare’s achievement today is a gift for his piety and sincerity. His belief about Africa’s technology shows his desire for success. He said the emergence of technology hubs in Africa is growing rapidly and it’s a positive sign. Checking the global comparison to see who are doing great, Africa is still not up to par. Damilare implores the continent to wake up and grasp the opportunities it provides.
