Position Overview
The Country Sales Manager, Banking will determine and formulate the overall direction of the country’s sales strategy in accordance to the direction of Group’s strategy. The person will own the country’s P&L (top and bottom line) for: software solution, services and hardware sales within the banking industry.
Job description:
- Owns the country’s P&L (top and bottom line) for: software solution, services and hardware sales within the banking industry.
- Ensure the organization’s business growth, set business direction in order to meet and exceed plans set by regional and group.
- To develop a world class organization that can serve the customers at its best.
- Ensure that all in-country process and procedures are within Global compliance policy.
- Represents the organization in meetings, events and stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the organization and its staff in meeting business objectives, determine areas of potential sales, cost reduction, program improvement or policy change.
- Prepares budget for approvals, including those for funding and implementation of programs.
- Direct and coordinate activities of business concerned with production, pricing, sales and distribution of products.
- Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies or other organizational entities.
- Implement corrective action plans to resolve organizational issues.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of budgetary control systems and other administrative control process.
About the person:
- Proven track record in sales management, especially from Enterprise IT Solution industry, specializing in Financial Services Institution/ Banking sector.
- Strong understanding of Software Solution, Services and Hardware.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with limited direction in a dynamic environment with conflicting priorities and rapid changes.
- Proactive, high energy, reliable, responsible and has a high degree of integrity.
- Excellent communicator, influencer, and diplomacy.
- Strong leadership and people management skills in building and managing sales team to deliver or overachieve sales targets.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, both internally with multiple departments (who has different reporting) and externally with partners and customers.
- Strong business acumen and customer focus.
- Shows flexibility in social networking and a target/ achievement oriented person.
- Excellent negotiation, judgement and decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma (in business management would be an advantage)
- 5+ years Sales experience, and a proven track-record of successful enterprise sales and solution selling.
- Technical/engineering/software background of value.
- Having a background in business/domain consultancy within core banking area
- Having large and valuable personal network within banking and financial services industry.
- High aptitude for problem solving and negotiation.
- Outstanding communication, writing and collaboration skill.
- Great with numbers, commercial analysis and pulling together sales targets and proposals, and have strong decision-making skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong business and financial acumen with an ability to understand and appreciate client’s business,
- Self-starter and ability to work alone as well within teams that carry disparate competencies yet converge to meet targets related to Cost, Quality & Time.
