innoHEALTH, a South African start-up in the e-health tech space has recently raised a seven-figure seed investment from an undisclosed Hong-Kong based venture capital firm.
The start-up, founded in 2020 by medical doctors Chad Marthinussen and Wade Palmer alongside chartered accountant, Abdul Malik Salie, seeks to use its platform, MyPocketHealth to provide comprehensive AI-driven quality, affordable and equitable digital healthcare solutions for Africans, MyPocketHealth will be launched later in the year and made available to the general public.

Wade Palmer said: “We want to move South Africa away from telemedicine to virtual care. We want integration into the NHI, as well as to become Africa’s biggest digital care provider of tech solutions, products and services.”.
Chad Marthinussen also mentioned that the MyPocketHealth platform will reduce the need for in-person medical consultations, allowing patients to access the best, most affordable medical advice and care from their mobile phones.
