As an Onitsha boy dreaming to be an Aeronautical Engineer, Ifeanyi Nnamdi-Okagbue wasn’t a small visionary. Unlike most of his peers that would have thought about business, he had his eye set on technological innovations and creating new normality. Now a Lagos boy, Ifeanyi is one of the bug giants in the Nigerian technology space. As usual, we will inspire you with a story that has so many things to learn from.
Ifeanyi Nnamdi-Okagbue Early Life
While most people were not keen on the technological advancement of the continent, Ifeanyi was ready. In 2003, he began a journey at Madonna University in a quest to know more about computer science. Upon graduation in 2007, he had his internship at TSG Assistant to get more insights. In 2008, he completed Microsoft’s SQL Server course. He started learning software development and soon the reward came. No pain no gain fit in more as his software development career began in 2009. After two years at High Tech Synergy, Ifeanyi became the Team Lead, Special Projects. He was a special man-made for special occasions and solving tasks. After 5 months in the new role, he left for Open Platform Systems.
In his new role, he was a technical consultant for a year. During his time, he was part of a team that made a Workflow Management System (WMS). This is a system to automate manual paper processes that go for approvals. AXA Mansard Insurance saw a rare gem and took advantage of it. As a business application developer, his team made Claims Workflow (CWF). A workflow management system is designed to manage the claims process in the organization. He also was on the team that made the Performance Management System (PMS). PMS is a system to appraise staff with balanced scorecards and appraisals.

Making life easy for people and finding innovative solutions are Ifeanyi’s real call. He loves to automate real-world problems, business processes, and help the needy. His passion made him switch to Law Union & Rock Insurance Plc. A man that loves the appraisal system still was involved in developing an appraisal system. He also was on a team that made Credit Note Management System (CNMS), Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and Renewal System (RS).
CNMS is a system to help manage all the credit notes and send email reminders to all stakeholders. These are sent at a specific set and modifiable intervals to help follow up and close businesses with full reporting. FAR is a system to keep track of all assets of the company with all the details and do automatic depreciation every month. The evaluation of the assets gives the company a true position on all its physical assets. While RS is a system to help send single or bulk SMS and/or Emails. This while helping clients for renewals or new business customers. The system allows the user to upload an excel file for bulk SMS or Email.
Ifeanyi made a switch after one year and one month to Nology Solutions. In his new role as the head of product development, he made massive inputs as well. He was a teammate on projects such as Access Bank Performance Management System(ABPMS) and Marine Insurance Certificate Portal (MICP). Later on, they made HRIS and St Agnes websites.

At Sidmach Technology Nigeria Limited, he led a team of passionate individuals to create amazing platforms. These projects include SmartSchool, an end-to-end cloud-based school administration portal for primary and secondary schools. e-Voting, an electronic voting system for organizations. HCMS, development of a standard and modularized web-based HR solution to run as a SAAS. Personal Development Plan System, an automated personal development plan for the organization. Mobile Insure, a web-based admin solution to manage the administration of a mobile insure product. Finally, HRIS, a web-based HR application for West African Examinations Council (WAEC) using ASP.NET Core MVC.
He’s currently the Head of Technology at Secured Records Management Solutions LTD. You can be quite sure they are in for tremendous success.

Wahoo! We’ve said a lot about Ifeanyi and it seems we’ve said it but we have not. He’s proud of his achievement, his desire to create problem-solving solutions. Ifeanyi was part of the team that built ERP for MTN Nigeria. A mind-blowing talent with a mind-blowing football club, Arsenal, we thank God for recent success. He loves watching football matches a lot and would like to see the volcanic Islands, Bora Bora.
