As a typical child, she had so many aspirations concerning a future profession. Martha wanted to become a doctor to save lives, but the level of injustice made her think of studying law. At some point, she thought being a musician wouldn’t be a bad idea due to her love for music. I guess it’s normal right? You can find all these traits in a solution-focused and optimistic individual. Martha’s quest for a solution led her to product design. What a beautiful turnout of the event!

Martha was raised by disciplinarian parents who taught her the major life skills of morals, resilience, and respect. This upbringing made her a responsible lady. Martha Adeleke- The Journey into Tech
Martha Adeleke’s love for creating solutions influenced her choice to study microbiology. She graduated in 2020 from Obafemi Awolowo University. Omo Adeleke began her tech journey learning graphics designing in her penultimate year. As per say pikin wey smart, Martha met with one of her departmental colleagues who is into tech. Like the way every beginner feels about coding, Martha made her fear known to the guy. She took a crash course on UI design under the tutelage of her colleague. Martha later won a scholarship to study graphics design at Geneza School of Design.
Afterwards, she took up an internship role at HNG as a UI/UX designer. She met with like-minded people who contributed to her growth and expertise. We dey always hear the slang ‘na all of us go chop breakfast”. Martha chop her own in the aspect of seeking jobs. She applied for many job openings so she almost gave up. Matha saw a light at the end of the tunnel when a friend informed her of a company’s need for a UI/UX designer. She applied and almost grew grey hairs before the hiring manager finally gave her the good news of acceptance. This is to say, never give up!
Martha Adeleke – Stepping Up
Should we talk about criticism? Na normal parole be dat. Martha received constructive criticism from her superior concerning one of her website designs. Guess what she did? She arranged a meeting with her CTO, heard his perspective and that of co-workers, and then, made the necessary changes. What a marvellous way to grow! Side hustle and Reloadly had her as a user interface designer intern. Martha worked with Azaman global as a freelance UI designer. Presently, she is a product designer at ScholarX.
Martha has certifications in human resource management from Prodwex. Uranus academy certified her as a system designer. She has a certification in User Experience from FutureLearn. Martha is a versatile designer who has received endorsements from field experts. Her skills range from Figma, adobe photoshop, adobe XD, design thinking, research and planning and a host of other updated skills.
Martha Adeleke’s Tech Talk
Martha Adeleke sees tech as a great prospect for Africa. As new opportunities are emerging daily, it is exposing people to networking, leveraging, collaboration and growth. If African leaders can incorporate tech in all sectors, the problems facing the fatherland will become past tense. Martha recognizes the gender margin in tech, she noted that various organizations are springing up to include women in tech. Martha Adeleke feels the agricultural sector needs tech inclusion to boost crop productivity. Robotic Systems, GPS Technology, and Precision Agriculture are the ways to maintain an efficient, safe and environmentally safe economy.
Communication, resilience and teachability are the must-have attitudes of techies. Martha’s advice to newbies is to trust the process while working hard and putting themselves out. Her perspective about educating techies tally with others. Learning platforms, mentorship and boot camps are her top picks. Martha is passionate about creating innovative solutions using design. She sees herself becoming one of the big names in the tech field in five years. She plans to improve her product design skills in order to create an impact on upcoming techies.

Martha enjoys reading, sightseeing, movies and listening to music as her hobbies. Even though work can be overwhelming, she keeps herself in check with the to-do list. This helps her to balance her work and personal life. Martha Adeleke enjoys checking out beautiful places, hanging out with friends and having real conversations when she is free. She is good at playing guitar and singing. As a “Martha” of facts, she is on the journey to work with other techies to create solutions to human problems.
