Aisiki is a food supply chain startup in Nigeria. It is among the 32 agri-tech companies to receive funds. It received $4million to tackle food security in 33 states across Nigeria. Furthermore, Aisiki emerged as one of the 32 companies to receive awards in funding and technical assistance. so, this aids to support food production and security in Nigeria.

In April 2021, USAID/Nigeria launched the COVID-19 Food Security Challenge. This Challenge is a Feed the Future initiative; aimed at providing $4million for funding. Also, it aims at providing technical assistance to youth-led companies of 29 years and beyond – mid-stage companies with an existing customer base of 1000 people and beyond. The companies work in food production, processing, and distribution in Nigeria.
Over the next year, the Challenge will support these companies as they mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on Nigeria’s food chains by scaling sustainable, local, and food-based models and increasing income for smallholder farmers. More so, this competition took place per telecom Namibiaership with USAID’s Exploratory Programs and Innovation Competitions (EPIC) Team.

Aisiki, founded by Babatunde Hakeem Lawal, has its agriculture value chain focus on transport and storage. Moreover, Aisiki resides in Edo, Delta, Lagos, Kaduna, Benue and Plateau.
Agri-tech makes it possible for food stores and restaurants of different types to access high-quality food items. These item sources come directly from farms and reputable brands with free next day doorstep delivery. More so, farmers can harvest based on already secured demand and acquire higher earnings.
