Oluwadamilola Soyombo’s Career Profile
Damilola had a lot of career choices in mind but she chose Computer science because she sees the power of technology. She is an alumnus of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She has a nano degree in UX design from Udacity. After that, Oluwadamilola learnt about user experience principles and process design from the University of Michigan. As a person with a big goal, she progressed to earn a certificate in business development and management from Pan Atlantic University. Damilola was a participant in the Kleos Academy Startup Advantage Program. Oluwadamilola was a mentor at Naijahacks, a community where UI/UX designers are given support and guidance.

She is an active participant in various tech establishments. Damilola volunteers as a host/podcaster at techiesdiet. She is also a co-organizer of the Pan African Hackathon. Gidicodes and adplist.org have her as their design facilitator and Mentor respectively. Oluwadamilola has an updated skill set that possesses her in a leadership position in the design field. Product management, information architecture, rapid prototyping, creative writing, 3D modelling, and application and website development are a few of her expertise areas. Tech Journey
Damilola’s tech journey began as an intern. First, at Stanbic IBTC as a Network support personnel, then, as IT support personnel, Web and app developer at Chevron. She successfully worked as the UI/UX designer at Hotels.ng, Freeme Digital Limited, Shecluded, Exquis App Factory, MenaGet SPC, Mnassa, Readeo. Oluwadamilola has been a Design Educator at Creative Ferry for close to four years. She is a Co-founder of Lafya healthcare and BidBuddyapp where she leads the UI/UX design team. Damilola is the amazing face behind The Creative Kids Zone and Skooqs. TCKzone is an NGO that introduces young children across Africa to the use of technology thereby increasing the number of techies.
Oluwadamilola founded the online educational platform, Skooqs to provide intensive creative skills to children 5-18 years. Damilola currently works with an international organization in UAE, Modus Capital as a product designer. She just dey burst my brain, see as pesin dey make an impact!
