Perfect Amoruwa’s HR Skills
Evidently, Perfect is absolutely apt at whatever he chose to do. His Human Resource management proficiency is manifest in his ability to sense if someone is sad. Even if their face is masked with a convincingly good smile, he can figure it out. He’s such a good listener and counsellor that most of his friends and colleagues seek and find solace around him. Perfect is so selfless. He considers his own birthday as some random day, but loves preparing for others’ birthdays and makes them feel special.
As a way to manage himself, Perfect takes to the book whenever he feels sad. He would write till all his sadness is dissolved as the ink in the paper. Sometimes he’d write stories, poems, and chapters of his own life or some bitter incidents that changed his perspective of life, all just to crumple the paper and throw it away. What a perfect way to transfer sorrow. Imagine if a quarter of the world’s population handled grief and aggression like Perfect… what a near-perfect world we would have.
Perfect Amoruwa’s enthusiasm towards cybersecurity began right from the early stage of his life. It had propelled him to strive for great accomplishments as he grew into teenage age. He became more goal-driven and passionate about cybersecurity. Perfect Amoruwa was especially driven towards cyber sensitization and creating security measures to manage an environment from unauthorized access. He also helps the common man, as well as big organizations, safeguard their property, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and financial status from being hacked, hijacked and stolen.
Behind the Success
Perfect walk tall as one who has been trained by the number one professional service firm in Nigeria. They also double as the largest private professional service network in the world. Perfect of course acknowledges his mentors Daniel Adaramola, Funmilola Odumuboni, Tope Aladenusi who have all contributed to his stream of knowledge
The driving force
Like many other goal-driven people, success is the fuel that powers Perfect’s engine and pushes him to do more. Particularly knowing that hard work and perseverance will help in the long run to achieve greater professionally. He is dedicated personnel who feels that aligning the company’s vision and values with his own is one way to achieve that. He believes that achieving success is vital both at the personal as well as at organizational levels. Motivation for him is seeing the organization grow which ultimately leads to personal achievement and success. Even though there might be instances of failure or stagnation, these only make Perfect stay focused and feel re-invigorated to perform even more. The taste of success after a failure is what keeps the fire going within him, driving him to always do more no matter what the circumstance.
The Perfect Amoruwa work – play pendulum
You wouldn’t be wrong if you expect a perfect balance in Perfect’s work and leisure scale. After all, He’s Perfect and everything should be perfect for him, right?
He sure did learn how to balance life while hitting on my deliverables at work early in life. As we all know that work could put one at the edge at times, and as such, he has learnt to avoid being under pressure by remaining calm, even at turbulent times. Keeping calm would give more room to think outside the box for possible solutions faster. Outside of work on weekends, he chills out with friends, visits people, and learns new things. He just never stops learning to be perfect. He loves researching new initiatives and reading other people’s success stories online to always convince himself that he can do more. Perfect is also perfect at play. He enjoys playing video games, seeing movies, listening to music and loves to sing too.

Perfect Amoruwa and the Tech industry
He personally loves challenging grounds, and that’s exactly what the tech industry is about. Aside from the well-known fact that tech industries are a fast-paced growing organization today, joining an early-stage tech company has helped him to wear many hats. He’s been pushed to take on a wide range of responsibilities and learn skills that may have traditionally been outside of his role. That has been valuable in his career long-term. That additional exposure to multiple sides of the business has expanded his perspective and even led to new professional interests.
Need I say that just before he completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC programme, he had brushed up his CV, made several applications for entry-level jobs, attended lots of interviews, though some just for the experience. Guess what! In the long run, it all paid off. He’s happy he got it highly with the best company in Africa.
Just in case you think perfection is void of failure, I hope this educates you that failure is but a postponed success. Even Perfect failed at something. Yes! He failed a core professional certification of his career he read months for. I believe it must have been so painful, but unlike some people who capitalize on their failure to quit, Perfect is determined to retake the examination, and never let it get to me.
A Perfect foresight into the future of technology in Africa
Perfect Amoruwa believes that the world, and indeed the African continent is changing and growing rapidly. Therefore, the future of technology in Africa should not be overlooked as Africa is blessed with an abundance of human capital, well-positioned to take advantage of the emerging advances in digital technology across the continent. Although many African countries face challenges related to infrastructure, security, education, and a host of others, the young people have forged paths towards sustainability for themselves and their families through tech and innovation. Regardless, the sheer energy, passion, and ingenuity of the young people in Africa, of whom 60% are below the age of 30 years, are part of what has made the continent a ‘darling’ of the tech world today.
Considering the extraordinary growth of tech space – places where programmers, web developers, graphic designers, hackers, entrepreneurs, and individuals with great minds have come together to create new digital products and set up businesses, all championed by young Africans, there is a ray of hope.
Across Africa, there is an existence of about 200 African innovation hubs, 3,500 new tech-related ventures, and $1 billion in venture capital to a pan-African movement to startup entrepreneurs. All this success is a product of Africans relentless spirit. He applauds Africans for coming out on top, irrespective of the challenges.
These have led him to harbour optimistic statements like;
- Will the next Google spring up from Lagos?
- Is the next Mark Zuckerburg already in Nairobi?
- Has the next Elon Musk been born somewhere in Uganda?
- Could the next Silicon Valley be located somewhere in Africa?
The answers to these he leaves to our YOUNG AFRICAN TALENTS.

His candid advice to every would-be techie is “strive to learn at every cost”. Get materials from experienced personnel in the field that will foster your learning process. And if you have no skill set, you can build a strong cybersecurity skill using various online labs. Get your hands really dirty with these labs, ask questions from experts where needed. Volunteer for related cybersecurity/tech bodies, where you get to meet new people and network. Lastly, Get certified after getting the necessary skills, trust me you’ll never regret what you did.
