Segun Falugba’s Career Profile
Segun is a graduate of Computer Science from the prestigious Bowen University, Nigeria. He started with a very low CGPA but he didn’t give up. As a goal-getter, he buckled up and became one of the top students in his department. When the going gets tough, the tough get going! Starting from his undergraduate days, he was always engaging in tech-related activities.
Segun’s practical experience began at Neulogic Solutions Limited where he was an application developer trainee; upon completion of his Bachelor Degree, he continued with the company as a full-time application developer; shortly after, his professionalism paved the way to become the Lead Mobile Application Developer at Neulogic Solutions Limited, a position which he held for close to two years. Just like the popular saying “Lagos guys no dey dull for upgrade”, Segun tried out new waters in the Lagos ocean of tech; he got a job as an Azure App Service Developer at Tek Experts. After a period of positive impact, Segun moved to eTranzact International PLC, he presently performs tech magic here as a DevOps Engineer.

Throughout his career, Segun keeps learning and upskilling, he has acquired certifications from three of the highly recognized organizations in the world; Microsoft, The Linux Foundation and Oracle. He can perform well in more than 47 high-in-demand skills; cloud computing, system design and software development, are a few of his mastery areas. Apart from solving complex technical issues, he is a certified trainer by Microsoft, newbies in tech as well as colleagues are beneficiaries of his vast knowledge.

Segun’s exposure to computers as a child laid the foundation of his passion for tech. He sees Africa as a fertile land where technology startups have begun to bloom in recent years. He believes the tech investment and commercial startups in Nigeria will lead to a worldwide economic advancement. Segun hasn’t felt the gender margin in the tech field, having worked in companies with a gender ratio balance.
He is surrounded by positive people who see tech as the future. Tech is not for the faint-hearted, to him, patience and staying updated on the current trend in the tech space are major skills needed to thrive. Segun is of the opinion that one of the promising ways to educate techies more is through tech webinars. He urges newbies in tech to focus on their goal as it is not going to be a walk in the park, but it can surely be an exciting journey. Segun is of the opinion that having more innovations in the commercial sector would be great.
Segun Falugba- An African Techy
As a busy tech guy, keeping up with family and personal life can be tasking, but he tries his best to spend time with his family and friends. He has an interesting lifestyle outside of tech, he loves listening to Afropop; his hobbies are playing video games and programming. As an African man to the core, playing the talking drum is one of his favourite pastimes.
With the epileptic security state of the country, he is currently working on an app that would help solve it. Segun Falugba just loves providing solutions.
