Full Job Description
Opportunity to join a small e-Commerce team retailing niche products across Nigeria. The team now wishes to build its in-house marketing capability.
Note that this is a full-time role, and we are not looking for a freelancer.
Responsibilities
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Develop and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI
- Develop, launch and manage new campaigns that promote our organisation and brand
- Analyse data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives
- Manage the day-to-day handling of our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter), as well as launching our brand on emerging platforms
- Generate, edit, schedule, publish and share engaging content daily (collaborate with writers and designers where relevant)
- Oversee social media accounts’ design
- Build a social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness
- Monitor the company’s brand on social media
- Manage our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
- Oversee customer service provided via social media
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure brand consistency
- Coach employees company-wide on content creation best practices
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
- Analyse competitor activity
Requirements
- 2+ years social media marketing experience
- Experience developing social media strategies
- Experience working with and developing a marketing plan
- Hands on experience in content management
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Ability to deliver creative content
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Proven ability to build social media communities
- Experience as a Brand Manager on social media
- Ability to measure the success of campaigns
