Peek, a social reading platform that unites readers, authors, and storytellers, has announced its inclusion in the next Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator powered by Techstars. The Accelerator is designed to elevate connectivity, media, & entertainment startups, tapping experts from the global network of Comcast NBCUniversal. Peek, along with 10 other startups with a group of global founders, would have access to an unrivaled network of corporate partners, investors and alumni.
In a press release, KJ Singh, Managing Director of the Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator stated that the companies joining the program this year are helping to solve many of the issues highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic – from tools enabling the future of work, to technology fostering more immersive connection between loved ones no matter where they live. More than a third (36%) of selected companies are led by at least one founder who self-identifies as a person of color or racial/ethnic minority in their home country while more than a third (36%) are led by a woman or gender diverse founder.

Peek offers an e-Reader that feels like gamified reading whilst its space for live conversations brings a whole layer to bookclub discussions. Peek, founded by Deborah Igunma and Emmanuel Ojo, is catalysing social reading and is also backed by Pioneer, and elite reading creators. The platform is currently running on an invite-only fashion so they can iron out all the kinks before the public release. You can join the waitlist here.
