Stephen is an output of the great Ife, Obafemi Awolowo University. He graduated with honours from the department of microbiology in 2015. Hmm, he went, he saw and conquered. He saw that tech is a great way to solve human problems, so he dived in. Stephen was advised to focus on a path when starting out and he yielded. This has helped him greatly in his career, what a wise man. Web development, Mobile applications and Web applications are his top skills. He creates tech magic-using CSS, Javascript and Html. You dey feel am? He choke!
Stephen is certified by two of the top tech communities in the world, Google and HackerRank. My brother, if your head no swell, na yeast fit solve your matter! He started as a web developer/ graphics designer at MHost, a cloud hosting company located in vibrant Lagos. Stephen didn’t relent, he joined The Spark, a software development company. He feels more spark will make him become a shining star in the tech world. Therefore, he joined madesoftlogic where he operated as a software developer for close to 3 years. Being a visionary and an explorer, he moved to another tech family, MyCoverGenius. He presently works here as a Senior Frontend Developer. Person wey wan move no dey sleep, wake up!
In a span of Stephen’s 3 years of professional experience, he has achieved a lot. He has developed 6 responsive and user-friendly websites. Stephen built an app that has served hundreds of users in the insurance industry. He is indeed owing his skyscrapers the tech way!

Stephen believes that it is only a matter of time before Africa becomes the seat of development. He sees the growing numbers of African tech talent as a prospect. Ode to the days when sending letters to loved ones far away is a herculean task. Technology has turned the world into a global village. Stephen believes that we will experience more if technology can impact augmented and virtual reality.
As a solution provider, he once sponsored a free tech skill acquisition. The application entries revealed the ratio of males to females applicants as 12:1. This is undoubtedly a gender margin. Stephen feels there is a need to influence more female participation. He observed that people have a mindset that tech is too hard, so they back off at an early stage. To Stephen, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Resilience is the survival skill needed to thrive in tech. His goodwill message to newbies is not to give up, when it gets hard, it’s a sign you are doing something right.
Stephen pictures himself speaking at global conferences in five years’ time. He has a mission to influence people to solve world problems technologically. Stephen feels the key to educating people about tech is to make it more accessible. Failures are signals that we are moving forward and keys to treasures. Stephen lost a job he loves but it was a blessing in disguise in the end. Our minds will be at peace If we can trust God with our affairs even if things seem blurry.
