Temitope Onasoga’s Tech Gist
Temitope has an optimistic view of Africa and technology. She believes that Africa has always been the resilient brain tank of tech. African businesses and innovations are thriving across the globe. To her, a big and positive tech dream will attract the right support. Atinuke’s experience of criticism is related to the gender margin in tech. She always has to do twice what is required for her competence to be accepted. “When they say you can’t do it, do it twice and show them”. The tech field is becoming saturated, problem solving is the skill techies need to stay ahead.
Temitope sees the need for technological impact in the area of additive manufacturing. Ability to be positive and always move forward despite previous failures. Atinuke’s advice is on point because she was once in the shoe. She worked on a project for a new company she was hoping to join. After several works and interviews, the company placed Temitope at the lowest level. This didn’t motivate her, it increased her determination for success. Internship, webinars and free training are the ways Temitope believes techies can get more education. One great achievement Temitope is proud of is her project at GBFOODS. She was the Project Manager for the Greenhouse Electrical Control Panel Building.
