Catalyst Fund, a Global inclusive tech accelerator managed by BFA Global, has announced its cohort of fintech companies that are building solutions designed to improve the resilience of underserved customers and communities. The companies joining the ninth Inclusive Fintech cohort are Crop2Cash, HealthDart, Kazi, Ohm Mobility, PocketFin and Verqor of which the first three make up the African startups.
The accelerator also announced PayPal as its new supporter as it explores the role digital finance can play in enabling climate resilience with select companies over the next two cohorts. PayPal has joined UK Foreign, CommonWealth and Development Office (FCDO), JPMorgan Chase & Co, as a supporter.

Crop2Cash is a Nigerian-based startup that enables smallholder farmers in rural Nigeria to receive digital payments and build their financial identity. It also allows agro-processors to manage their supply relationships with farmers and other suppliers digitally. HealthDart is a South African-based digital health startup thatis committed to building a future of affordable and accessible healthcare in South Africa. The startup is continuously building innovative products that will help users affordably and conveniently manage theri health needs and navigate the health system. Kazi is a Kenyan-based startup that helps to increase the visibility of service providers witht he clients in need of these services. It also helps customers findtrusted businesses and service providers in their vicinity.
To date, Catalyst Fund has raised more than $247 million in follow-on funding and reached over 6.5 million low-income customers. Catalyst Fund was launched in 2015, with support from JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the Bill & Melinda Gates Fundation. Its Inclusive Fintech Program provides startups with catalytic grant capital, bespoke venture building support from emerging markets and fintech experts and access to a aglobal network of investors and corporate partners, while sharing learnings and insights witht he broader inclusive tech ecosystem. The Accelerator targets sectors based on their potential to benefit underserved communities, as well as the extent to which we can have a catalytic, tipping point effect for startups working in those sectors through its acceleration process.
