Tix is an event ticketing platform that launched in beta in March 2019. At the time, the operations weren’t sophisticated as intended because basically, you couldn’t do much else than buy event tickets and for event organisers, all they could do was list their events for sale. When the pandemic came Tix felt a need to add support for virtual events which was integrated with Zoom. This development gives room for event organisers to create an event on tix, as well as sales of tickets while the event get to host on Zoom without having to pay for a Zoom subscription.

It is believed that Tix is planning to launch yet another version which would be Tix-pro. Tix-pro will be deployed with new sets of enhanced capabilities to support different types of events and also improve its users’ experiences and a more flexible approach for selling tickets online.
As a result of the covid19 pandemic, all person events were officially put on hold for most of 2020 while the Tix team worked majorly to develop their technology for collection and sales of event tickets with the help of new and exciting investors like Microtraction, HoaQ, Ire Aderinokun and some other angel investors.
However, it is expected that users of Tix.africa would are looking forward to the release of the Tix-pro which has promised to bring more features when it comes to booking a ticket to the next event and undoubtedly one of the most anticipated things to look out for.
